Explore →At the heart of it
At the heart of everything we do is one thing: helping people have the conversations they have been avoiding.
Whether that is speaking up about a concern, giving honest feedback, working through conflict, or simply saying what needs to be said, we give people the tools, the language, and the courage to do it.
Who we work with
We work across the public and private sectors with organisations that share a commitment to braver, more human leadership cultures. We have partnered with more than 40 NHS Trusts and public sector organisations across the UK, alongside corporate clients in financial services, technology and FMCG.
Our approach
We are not a generic leadership training provider. Our foundations draw on Brené Brown, Kristin Neff, Amy Edmondson and Carol Dweck, amongst many others. Our proprietary frameworks translate that research into practical tools participants use in real situations, long after the programme ends.
Framework
Our structured conversation model, used to prepare for and hold the conversations people most want to avoid.
Framework
Our model of threat response and courageous action, naming what happens under pressure and what to do instead.
Framework
Our peer accountability structure, keeping the practice alive between and beyond sessions.
What changes
Figures are drawn from Braver than Before® cohort data spanning early 2024 to mid 2026, across more than 2,000 participants in healthcare and corporate cohorts. The impact holds long term: more than two years on, 93% of alumni report using the tools every single week.
are now more likely to speak up in their organisations.

feel more engaged at work as a result of the programme.

Our story
Ten days after our daughter was born, she became seriously ill. We watched her deteriorate quickly, her oxygen levels dropping and with it, her chances of survival.
Then a nurse spoke up. Clearly, directly, and at exactly the right moment. When her opinion was initially dismissed, she spoke up again.
Because that nurse had the courage to challenge the status quo, not once, but twice, our daughter's care plan was updated, and her life was saved.
At the time, we were already delivering leadership and communication work in organisations like Microsoft, alongside the NHS. In a corporate setting, speaking up is a leadership skill. In healthcare, it can be the difference between life and death. From that point on, our work in the NHS stopped being one strand among others, it became the centre of what we do.
The Bravest Path exists to give doctors, nurses, midwives, and every healthcare professional the courage, tenacity, and resilience to say what needs to be said, when it needs to be said, even when the power dynamic in the room makes that hard.
This is why we do what we do.
